Fake social media accounts claiming to represent a Jacksonville tattoo artist are tricking customers into sending deposits for services they never receive. The scammers mimic the artist’s online presence, including profile pictures and messaging styles, to lure victims into believing they’re booking legitimate appointments. Authorities warn that once payments are made, the fraudsters disappear without delivering the promised tattoos. Victims report losing hundreds of dollars in advance fees, highlighting the growing risk of impersonation scams on popular platforms.
